Getting Into the Cult
The Cult of the Dead Rabbit is a private community, and every new user goes through a voice verification process before they can become a New Member.
Verification is designed to be quick, straightforward, and personal. It's not an interrogation or a test. It's simply our way of confirming that new users meet the basic requirements and understand what the Cult is about.
Step 1 — Join the Cult
When you join, you'll initially have limited access while you complete the verification process.
New users must meet the Cult's minimum requirements, including being over 21, being able to speak, write, and understand English, and having a Discord account that meets the Cult's age requirement.
Step 2 — Meet With Cult Staff
Your verification is conducted by a member of the Cult Staff through voice chat.
The process begins with a short introduction and a few basic questions.
You'll be asked:
How old are you? — To confirm the Cult's age requirement.
What state or country are you from? — To determine your time-zone role.
How did you hear about the Cult? — To help us understand how people are finding us and track referrals.
That's it.
There is no complicated application form and no exam to pass.
Step 3 — Learn the Rules
During verification, Cult Staff will explain the three fundamental requirements of membership:
1. Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
2. Be over 21 years of age.
3. Protect the privacy of the Cult.
Members are not permitted to screenshot, record, download, stream, or share Cult content outside the community. This protects the privacy and security of everyone inside.
You'll also be introduced to the culture of the Cult, including our expectations around respect, participation, and keeping unnecessary conflict and divisive discussions out of the community.
Step 4 — Verification Decision
At the end of the process, there are two possible outcomes.
Approved
If you meet the requirements, you'll be approved and given the New Member role along with your appropriate time-zone role.
You'll then be able to begin participating in the Cult during your probationary period.
Rejected
If you don't meet the requirements or don't pass verification, you'll be placed in the Rejected role and may be removed or banned from the server where appropriate.
Users who fail to complete verification within the required timeframe may also be rejected.
Why Do We Verify?
Because the Cult is different from a typical public Discord server.
We deliberately keep the community small, private, and personal. Verification helps us maintain that environment by ensuring that everyone entering the community understands what they're joining and agrees to respect the people already inside.
We're not looking for perfect people.
We're looking for people who are respectful, genuine, social, and compatible with the community.
After Verification
Passing verification is only the beginning.
All new members enter a minimum 30-day probationary period. During that time, you'll have an opportunity to meet the community, participate in voice chats, and decide whether the Cult is right for you.
At the same time, Cult Staff will assess your participation and compatibility before you receive full Member status.
Join. Verify. Participate. Become a Rabbit.
And remember...
The Rabbit is listening.
